Design Teams

Unky says: I am so lucky to be surrounded by talented and enthusiastic designers who love to play, experiment, and inspire using The East Wind images. Although we consider ourselves one big happy family, we do have different responsibilities depending upon which team we have joined. It's my pleasure to introduce The East Wind Blog DT, Facebook DT, and InstaDT.

Vicky Fortier
I'm an accountant working full time and a mother of 4 great kids. I have an amazing husband who understands that in order to keep my sanity through all this, I need to craft :) I live in Quebec, Canada so a lot of my crafting is done with French sayings. I have been crafting over 21 years and tried my hand at all kinds of techniques over the years. I began blogging in 2012 in order to join challenges. I became totally hooked!!!!I can't believe this world existed and I only found out about it then.I see blogging as a wonderful opportunity to improve my card making abilities. I have realized that through the web I get to meet amazing people from all over the world and learn from them. I'm in awe of all the wonderful blogs that I see and hope that one day my blog will be up to that level.

Leigh Snaith-Brunton

Hi, my name is Leigh S-B aka The Sharpie Domino Queen! I’ve been involved in the world of Rubber Stamping for well over 20 years and in 2002 I discovered my passion for Altered Game Art, pioneered the technique of using Sharpie markers to create vibrant miniature works of art on dominoes and other game tiles, and was given my nickname ‘The Sharpie Domino Queen' by the members of my DominoART Yahoo group.
I studied Fine Art and specialized in painting, drawing, ceramics and photography. I’m a certified Gare Ceramic instructor as well as an avid Paper Artist, Jewelry Designer, Digital Artist and an Altered Artist of anything I can get my hands on. About 5 years ago I ventured into doll customizing. My art aesthetic leans towards Fantasy and Gothic art and I enjoy creating with more dark and alternative imagery. I was immediately drawn to The East Wind’s Lucy Loo line. I pretty much do anything when I want and absolutely enjoy creating beautiful, pretty, and cute art, too! I have written articles in leading stamping magazines and my creations have been featured in Somerset Studio, Stamper’s Sampler, The Rubber Stamper, Belle Armoire Jewelry and Just Steampunk as well as online at Altered Arts, The Stamper's Mall, Unmounted Central and various other websites.I also keep very busy serving on awesome Design Teams. I share my art on my blogs: Leigh SB Designs and DominoART blog with corresponding Facebook Pages, too. I work out of my studio in sunny Southern California where I live with my hubby and furbabies. Sandra Janssen
My name is Sandra Janssen, 28 years old, married to the love of my life and we have a daughter. I am from The Netherlands. I have been crafting as long as I can remember. As a child I started crafting with my grandmother, we made 3-D-paperpieced cards. She also tried to teach me how to crochet and knitting, but since I am left handed and she is right handed, it didn't quite work out. About 8 years ago, I found out about scrapbooking and did that for a very long time, but it bothered me that I just couldn't finish a lay-out in 1 evening. I usually took me about 2 or 3, and I began searching for things I could just do in 1 evening. On the internet I saw people creating the most beautiful cards, with the same materials I used for scrapbooking. A new addiction was born, I managed to make 2 cards on one evening! I have been coloring with Copics for about 4 years now, and I totally love it.

Myndi Fraser
 Facebook Manager
I live in Alberta Canada with my husband, five kids, and one cat. I have lived all over the world, from Guam to Germany, and lots of places in between. I taught myself how to crochet about eight years ago, and after that I was addicted to anything crafty. I started making simple little cards for my family, and it has really grown into something that I just LOVE to do. The last two years I have focused on learning to colour with Copics, and now I'm trying to expand into pencils, as well. I spend as much of my free time as I can crafting, and with so many kids that can be challenging some days.

Donna Mundinger
 Blog: Popsicle Toes
Hi, I'm Donna Mundinger and I'm just thrilled to be part of The East Wind team. I live in Livermore, CA in the East Bay of San Francisco, with my hubby of nearly 40 years and my two Pixie Bob kittens, Goliath and Jezebel.I've always loved to create and since retiring from sales and marketing, I've become addicted to papercrafting in all forms, most recently working with digi stamps. I love bringing the line drawings to life by coloring and I am happiest when I can add dimension by fussy cutting and layering. By sharing my creations through blogging, forums, Facebook Groups, and Design Teams, I've met so many wonderful people from all over the world and am anxious to share creations using Unky's fabulous designs. I'm also an avid hiker, gardener, gourmet cook and entertainer. I enjoy relaxing at the over 50 wineries our town has to offer.

Shannon Abblitt
Blog: Creative Muttering Out Loud
I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. I have lived here most of my life and can’t imagine settling anywhere else. I’ve been happily married to my ever patient husband for 15 years and we have three amazing children together. Next to my family, I spend my time as a committee member for a small yet Australian-wide not-for-profit charity, running my small online cottage business/hobby business and being creative. I dabble in acrylics and watercolours, charcoal, soft pastels, alcohol markers and sewing. My choice of pen is Copics. I am self-taught and always trying to improve my technique. Most of my spare time is spent crafting as life is so much brighter when it’s full of colour.

Kim Rippere
I live with my partner (Edward), 2 indoor cats, 2 outdoor feral cats I am luring, and a dog in the far southwest corner of Georgia. I have been creating for my whole life, from quilts, to locker hooking, to interior decorating, to paper crafting! The list was just growing and growing. I decided that I need to focus on something and choose paper crafting...which has now grown into card making, quilling, mixed media, artist trading cards, altered art, and swapping! lol.
